Accor Australia new appointments

Accor has a new look Operations and Sales & Marketing team in Australia headed up by three new faces.  

The most senior appointment is Simon McGrath to the position of Vice President – Australia.  This newly created role will encompass both operational and sales and marketing responsibilities across Accor’s Australian hotels.  

 Simon joined Accor in 2005 as General Manager, Sofitel Reef Casino Cairns and was later appointed Regional General Manager, overseeing all hotel operations in Northern Australia and Perth in addition to his role at the Sofitel.  Prior to joining Accor, Simon worked for Rydges Hotels and Resorts across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Middle East.  

Kerrie Hannaford has been appointed as National Director of Sales – Australia. Kerrie’s previous roles within Accor include Director of Sales & Marketing for the Menzies Sydney in 2006 and for Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa in 2005.  Prior to joining Accor she held senior roles with IHG.   

Tina Fisher has been appointed to the role of National Director of Brand Marketing, overseeing the marketing activity for five of Accor’s major hotel brands in this region – Novotel, Mercure, All Seasons, Ibis and Formule 1.  Tina brings a wealth of experience with her from the Southern Sun Hotels Group in South Africa, where she was responsible for Brand Marketing across the group’s multi-branded hotel and resort network. 

Both Kerrie and Tina will report to Simon McGrath and all three will be based at Accor’s corporate office in Sydney.
