Australian Hotels Highest Record June Quarter

Hotel owners have posted the highest Average Daily Rates (ADR) on record for a June quarter.  The newly released Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) accommodation data show that national occupancy and ADR levels reached a new pinnacle for a June quarter. (more…)

Marriott International 59 Hotels end of 2010

Marriott International, Inc will add a total of 59 hotels to its Asia-Pacific portfolio through the end of 2010. The new hotels will provide 18,160 rooms across five brands with multiple openings in Thailand, China and India. This growth will add about a third more hotels and almost 50 percent more rooms to Marriott’s lodging presence in Asia-Pacific over the next 36 months.

Orient-Express acquires Hotel in Brazil

Orient-Express Hotels Ltd., owners and operators of 49 deluxe leisure properties in 25 countries, announces its latest acquisition, the 200-room Hotel das Cataratas, the only hotel within the UNESCO World Heritage designated Iguaçu National Park in the Paraná region of Brazil.
