Design Hotels to host Asian exchange
As part of its growing focus on the Asian market, the international hotel group design hotelsâ„¢ will be hosting its annual Asian Exchange event in Hong Kong and, for the first time, in Singapore on 31 October and 2 November 2006.
The Exchanges are an established event product of design hotels™ providing a business platform for invited travel trade professionals and press to meet with selected hotel members from across the globe. More than 40 Exchanges are planned annually throughout the world and the company’s first Asian Exchange was held in Hong Kong last year. With Singapore as a new destination and additional base for the company, the expanded two-part event provides the opportunity for networking with a greater audience in Asia. Earlier this year, design hotels™ established a satellite office in Singapore (one of three in Asia) and also welcomed the New Majestic Hotel as the first member property in Singapore.
The expanded Asian Exchange is reflective of design hotelsâ„¢ growing presence in Asia, both in terms of members hotels as well as travel volume to and from the region. The diverse hotels represented at the two events reveal the eclectic composition of the design hotelsâ„¢ portfolio and include member properties located throughout both Asia and Europe. The events provide hoteliers and clients a unique forum for learning more about each market, the needs of the travel industry and they also support the need to dialogue, or Exchange.
