New Accor Hotel in SE Melbourne
After years of negotiations, Wilbow Corp has been given the green light for a US$54.2 million Accor hotel development in the south-east part of Melbourne. Contracts have been signed with the city Council, giving Wilbow ownership of the US$1.9 million site next to the municipal offices. The proposed development will feature a six-storey, 156-room hotel and roughly 5,000 square metres of office space over four floors. Accor Group, which owns the nearby Novotel Glen Waverley, will take on the management of the hotel under the Ibis brand.
