Singapore hotel room rates rise

Hotel room rates are likely to rise by 10 or 15 per cent a year for the next three years, says a wide ranging UBS report on the Singapore property market. The Swiss bank report goes on to predict a further 15 per cent rise this year in sale prices for high-end residential properties, following last year’s 26 per cent increase. (more…)

Millennium & Copthorne first Hotel in China

Millennium & Copthorne International Limited  will be unveiling its first hotel in China, Shanghai on 28 August 2006.  This is a management contract signed with China owner, the Shanghai Workers Union , which also owns hotels, villas and spas amongst other investments in China.  (more…)

New Marriott Airport hotel in Hong Kong

Marriott will manage what will ultimately be a 1000-room hotel at the Hong Kong Int’l Airport, under an agreement reached with Union Sky Holdings Limited, a partnership between Shun Tak Holdings Limited and Dragages Hong Kong Limited.  When opened in the second half of 2008, the hotel will be Marriott International’s fifth hotel in Hong Kong.

New tourism partners Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos

VietNamNet Bridge - The Tourism Department of HCM City, the Tourism Ministry of Cambodia and the Lao National Administration of Tourism have agreed to jointly organize International Travel Expo-Ho Chi Minh City 2007 (ITE-HCMC 2007), themed “Three countries, one destination”, in HCM City, said Deputy Director of the Department La Quoc Khanh at the closing ceremony of ITE-HCMC 2006 on August 6.
